It can connect to cultural awareness because with technology, students will be able to connect with other students all over the world.
This can connect to Cultural Awareness because it is about differences and problems in the world with students everywhere in the world.
This information relates because it talks about teachers learning understanding kids better and trying to fix bad things and inappropriate things that happen online. And trying to fix it by doing things with the kids like thease wikis. It also goes with it because it talks about stoping bullies from bullying kids online that have different cultures.[1]
It connects by how you need to have respect and etiqupie. And his Cultre is Mexican and peole made fun of him. Background

93% of US teens (12-17) use internet daily. 39% of online teens share won artistic creations online. 28% of teens created there own blog. 55% of teens created there own profile on a social networking site. 67% of teens (grade 9-12) have there own phone. 72% of teens have there own phone in South America. Only 17% (age 15-24) have ever used the internet in South America.
[2] Teens get teased about their culture. Lets teens and teachers learn about different cultures online. This way teens are able to talk about their culture and feel good about themselves.
Teachers may be able to learn and teach different culturals by using the internet as a guide to start teaching
When you move to America Like Alica did from another country you may get made fun of. But she took it and was left out for all the games. She tried to talk to the teachers but they had no respect or Etiquit for her. Then in her school they never learned about other countries and there cultures and traditions. So she thought that was unfare and talked to her mom about it and tried to get the school to teach about it.

By giving the use of technology in the learning enviroment to teachers and children they can now able to respect others differences. It also helps them understand why they are different. When having internet in the teachers lesson plans, students will be able to connect with students around the world. If a teacher were to say a type of difference or disease that the students never heard of before, they would be able to look it up on the internet to understand it better.[3]
Getting teased about your culture will make you lose interest in school.
Possible solutions

If you put technology in the schools the students and teachers will know more about different culturals and understand them better. By doing that the students will feel safer.
Bullying other cultures could be stopped by adding technology into lessons and assignments.
Teachers will be able to talk about their cultural knowledge in their classrooms while making student feel comfortable of their life.[4]
